Giving a Voice to People Living With Dementia

Many a time, we do not recognise the things that people living with dementia say or point out. We assume their minds may be playing tricks on them, are blurred, or possibly not coherent with what they say and think. However, we are belittling the capacity of the power of the eyes, and the magnitude of the brain which may still be functioning relatively well in another domain.

Through photographs, persons living with dementia usually can express certain levels of understanding and perception. Hence, it is in the hope that through the camera lens, people around them can see what they see.
